December was full of activities as most Decembers are. Ours was a little more packed because of puppies.
First, i got an advent calendar. i may have had one as a kid, but i dont remember them if i did. So, for me, this was my first one. It was a Legos “Friends” one and it was a gift that kept on giving and was a double edged sword for me because of the happy that came with expecting to open a new part each day and the impatient part of me that hated waiting to do just that.
The first weekend in December, we pulled out all the Christmas stuffs and decorated the house. We even got a few new items.
Mina got fixed the first week of December and Rufus the week after. To make sure they did not lick their new boo boos, we all slept with them in the living room.
Mid way through December, it really snowed and it was very, very beautiful. i love how the light look against the snow! <3
We also got a tree and decorated it. We put it in the front room this time because since there are more people to open presents this year, we needed more room for those presents. It was beautiful having the tree and the light seen from the street!
There were also school things going on right before winter break. Chew had a holiday concert and there was the “GIVE TREATS TO TEACHER” day. We made holiday themed rice krispie treats. They were soooo gooooooot.
Durning that week we also did some holiday baking. Each person chose a cookie recipe, made that cookie recipe and then we bagged them all up and made sure there was enough for all 12 teachers as well as some left over for us. And, we all made a ginger bread house making a little villa.
