The Wedding Party

The wedding party is for the closest family and friends. Here are the people that we would like the honor of playing a little bit extra special part in our day. The Best Man is Sean. Brian and Sean have known each other for years. They met at a previous employer and when Brian left and came to cPanel, Sean followed. But only after much convincing. They used to game all the time together. The pictures of these times were quite funny. Sean was one of the people in on the greatest prank ever by Brian.

The Matron of Honor is Adena. She has been my support system and one of my dearest friends. i miss her greatly. We used to just hang out at her place or mine and play games. We also would go shopping together. She was one of the few people that i could grocery shop with. The Flower Girl is Kaylee. She is Adena’s daughter. I do not have any nieces and may not have one for some time, but she is considered my niece in my eyes. When Adena and i would hang out, she was there. She is so smart was was learning to read at 2 1/2 years old. i miss her too.

The first groomsmen is Kyle. He is my brother. Brian and him hit it off right away when they met and since then their brotherly bond grows stronger. Kyle has been a mentor in sorts to dealing with me and my baggage.

The ring bearer is Mikey. He is my nephew and the cutest thing ever. We sometimes watch him and he just loves Brian. Brian is super patient with him too. i never seen a man interact with a child like Brian does…well…except one…my Dad.

We decided we are going to have bubble guns instead of the traditional ring pillow and flower basket. Because of the distraction they will cause our cute will be 6 year-olds, we needed someone to make sure they make it down the isle. We created a special role called “Bubble Wrangler” for this purpose. This role will be filled by Becca, my sister-in-law.

The Maid of Honor is Marissa. She is Brian’s sister and OmG does she make me laugh. We hit it off right away when we met and man the crazy things we did when we were together. Dancing in the car, yelling “HI!!!!” at random strangers in rush hour traffic on the freeway. Yea…goot times!

The second groomsmen is Eric. He was originally my boss. Without him hiring me, Brian and i would not have gotten as close as we are now. Then when Brian was my boss Eric would always nag me to learn Perl. Once Brian became a PO, Eric was the one who advised me to be a ScrumMaster. I did and that is what sealed the deal on Brian and i becoming a couple…being on the same team we realized that we were two pieces of one puzzle.

The only Bridesmaid is Ruth. She was another crazy support person. There has been a lot that i have been learning about myself and who i want to become. She was one who has been there to answer any and all questions. Without her i would not have the courage to be who i am today. Not in the fullest, not as quickly. Without Brian, Kyle and Ruth…i would not have progressed as far as i am today.

The Father and Mother of the groom are Dave and Lynn. They are the most incredible people ever. So supportive, generous, loving…the best way i can describe them is “Leave it to Beaver”. They are the perfect family to those outsiders looking in.

The Father and one of the Mothers of the Bride are Bob and Jill. Without my Dad i would not be the person i am today. Jill has always been a mother figure for me. They have been there when i needed them most. i can only hope to return the favor one day.

The Mother of the Bride is Carol.  She has ever been one of my bestest friends. She was always there to lend a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, a smile for a job well done. Even though we have grown a little distant, she is always in my heart. Update: We are not so distant anymore. At least we are working on it. That is all thanks to Brian and His mom. Being around Lynn reminds me so much of my Mom that i tend to text her more. This leads to her calling me more.
