4th of July Weekend

July 4th weekend we hung out with my Aunt Sherry and Uncle Dobie like we do and watched fireworks from their boat like last year. The park that they stay at always does them the Saturday the weekend before or of July 4th. This year it was July 3rd. It was amazing to hang out with them. They are such goot people <3

Also talked to Robbie that day because it being his birthday and all. i could not believe that i am a mother of a 16 year old! He was so excited to come in a couple of weeks for a visit.

Also…. we got a new puppy!!! We were going to get two new puppies, but the mama dog sat on the female we picked and squished her… She did not make it.  :'(  We ended up getting just the brother.

When we went to choose a few weeks back, we were only going to get a female. The litter had 3 females and 2 males. We chose the one female and i wanted to hold them all to “feel for a connection”. i felt that connection with the last female i held. BUUUUT, i also held the males because why not? It was so silly but i ended up really falling in love with the runt male and begged and pleaded to have him even though he had “lipstick” (what i call the boy parts on a male dog). Brian, being the loving Hubby He is, let me after much prodding and convincing. i ended up roping in Lynn for support and she was all for it. It ended up working out because of what happened to the female we originally chose. i was so happy that we at least got one.

We brought home Rufus Ruffington Oates on July 4th.

He was so cute but so lethargic. After a vet visit, we found out he had worms, which is common for “backyard breeders”. So medication he got. Then he started pooping them out and it was so nasty. It looked like spegetti noodles. i have a picture but not gonna share that one ~.~

Sammie was very interested in this new addition and warmed up to him pretty quickly.

Brian loved Rufus too. We would sit in the front yard and they would play. Here is a video of Brian playing with Rufus.
