April 6th marked our one year anniversity. We are so alike we both got surprise presents for the other without them knowing we did it.
i thought He went Easter shopping for me. He thought i was barfday shopping for Him.
The day before Easter He said He had to go do “super secret stuff”. i thought He was going to do Easter shopping.
In the past no one ever thought of me for Easter, except my parents when i was a child. So, by habit, i always included an Easter basket for the “parents” too. i would include stuff for me as well.
So when He left i told Him not to get anything and He said “Fine, I won’t go over board.” i was satisfied with that and left Him go. He was gone for ever too. i got worried and reminded Him that i had stuffs already for me. He said “I know.” and “Ok.” This satisfied me again. Easter morning when i came down and did not see a basket for me, i thought “Oh goot, He did not get me anything. He must have just helped Lynn pick out stuffs.”
The day of our anniversity, i told Him that i was going barfday shopping. Really i was going for the big day. Lynn and i went to Somerset Mall because that was the only place they had a Lego Store. It was so funny when we walked in, the lady asked what we were looking for. i told her i was not too sure. She suggested Star Wars, nope, Hobbit, nope, Ghostbusters, Oh that would be nice. As she was directing us to the Ghostbuster set, i sawl the Minecraft ones. “That’s it!! i need to get those!” i found the farm set which was a must. When we first played together as friends, He showed me how to build a farm. It was the coolest thing evar.
Then i got a new dress and shoes for dinner. The dress was ivory and light it would be perfect for our honeymoon. i got matching white wedges that did not have lace up the legs strings. it is actually perfect for when we go walks on the beach with my baby-suit under it.
Lynn and i met Him for lunch and it was so goot. It was Panera Bread. He had a tuna sammich with a side of broccoli cheddar soup. His mom had veggie wrap thingy. i had a plain toasted bagel.
When He got home he sawl the presents. “What did you do?” He asked me.
“i got yous stuffs” i replied sweetly. “Well so did I.” He said back to me. i immediately recognized the box as an Ahee box. The jeweler He gets my fancy stuff from. The jeweler He got the necklace from and my engagement ring from. “What did YOU do?” i asked knowing that little box was not cheap. It was a pair of pearl earrings.
He opened His presents and He was thrilled to have Legos. And Minecraft ones at that. It took Him a couple of days to build it all.
We all went to dinner at Diamond Jim Bradey’s to celebrate with His parents, Marissa and her Brian. It was soo goot.
