On April 26th, we did a food tasting with the Dearborn Inn with our wedding planner/Brian’s mom, Lynn. They displayed all the hors d’oeuvres, entrees, sides, and deserts that would be offered for our wedding.
Man oh man were some of the stuffs goot. There was sooo much too. i had such a full belly that i did not eat dinner that night.
Brian’s favorites were the asian potpie and the pizza for hors d’oeuvres, garlic pepper mashed and au gratin potatoes for the sides, the caesar salad for the salad, the tender loin for the entree and the mousse tulips for the desert.
Lynn’s favorites were the asian potpie and the pizza and the bacon covered water chestnuts for hors d’oeuvres, she was not a fan of the sides, the caesar salad for the salad, the tender loin and the coq au vin for the entree and the mousse tulips and chocolate cheese cakes for the desert.
my favorites were the asian potpie, pizza and quesadilla for the hors d’oeuvres. The pork ribs for the entree. No salad or sides were goot in my opinion. But what can you expect from a Little? The mousse tulips for desert.
We have a lot of choices ahead for us. To me though all this food was too fancy. It is just not me. But hey, this is not only my wedding after all now is it.
There was also the cake baker there. We have to use Pastry Palace for our cake. It was part of the contract. i do not mind as the cake is really good.
Brian’s and Lynn’s favorites were the chocolate and white layered cake and the strawlberry filling cake. mine was the Raspberry filling one, though i did like the chocolate and white layered cake and the strawlberry filling ones too. We thought about having a Neapolitan with the the chocolate and white layered cake with strawlberry filling. We still have yet to taste the lemon one…
