This was another moment that I forgot to post about. For Christmas, i got Brian an all paid for PAX Video Game Conference.
As a recap, He opened a card with My Little Pony Monopoly dollars. This represented his souvenir dollars i set aside for Him. Then He opened a box that had a doll bed. This represented the hotel that was paid for. Last He opened mock PAX badges/tickets. This was self explanatory.
Just to give an idea, they sold out of the 3 day passes in 2 days. They sold out of the Friday and Saturday passes in a little over 2 weeks. Tickets went on sale the last weekend in July. Eric, a few others from cPanel and i were doing the mad “refresh” when tickets went on sale. We all made a pact to message each other “GO GO GO!” when they finally went up.
Another thought, they started selling out of hotel rooms in May when they announced the dates. i got our room 1 week after the announcement and had to call around!!
From July until Christmas, i saved dollars for the souvenirs. This whole thing started before we were engaged.
i know, i know…..the best girlfriend evar!!! ;p
Needless to say January 22 we went to the conference. We had a great time! We sawl some talks. Sawl some developers. Ate great food, especially the hamburgers. Hung out with friends. Got awesome goodies. It was totally amazing!
