White Picket Fences

March 22nd, we got to finally see our house. It is coming along so nicely. It looks massive compared to the others. The name of it is “The Hampton III”. There are only 3 Hampton IIIs in the development. Hampton III Floor Plan

LotWe made all the needed decisions for them to build right away. Carpet, wood floor, cabinet, granite, tile, and paint colors. We were done in almost record time. 43 minutes. Only one other couple beat us at 37 minutes. We were pretty basic. there were a few things we changed or upgraded but for the most part we were “builders choice” i think is the term.

This is my first house. i never wanted to settle down. i liked moving around. i liked not have the responsibility of owning a house. It made it easier to leave if i wanted to. i think it comes from moving so much as a kid. i went to 10 different schools growing up. i never stayed in one house/apartment longer than 3 years. This carried over into my adult life. i never stayed in one place for longer than 2 years.

i liked this. It kept me adaptable. It kept things interesting. With Brian though, He only moved once in child hood and 2 times His adult life. He wanted to settle down and re-create His “leave it to beaver” childhood for our future children. i want to settle down with Him. i want to be where He is…always.

When we walked into the model home, for the first time since living on Foch, it felt like “home.” Since then our house has been framed and has walls and a roof. They started adding the plumbing and the electric. We went to look around and it really did feel like “home.” i can see us dying in this house. i can see us living in this house….and i cannot wait.
