For Christmas 2014 and New Year 2015, we went to Michigan. Yes, yes, I know…we have been going there a lot lately. That is because Brian enjoys His family. He says He likes the warm climate of Houston and that He will never go back to the snow, but i think He loves His family even more.
This Christmas was the best one that i have had. The only thing missing was snow. That is right! We were in Michigan for 15 days and there was no snow. Not until we left. Then our flight was delayed because of it. Figures.
Waking up to the family and traditions was perfect! Cinnamon rolls and orange juice, opening stockings while waiting for everyone to get up, the dinner, the cookie making! It all reminded me of better days of my childhood, except i am an adult and get to have a full appreciation of what all went on behind the scenes on this favorite day.
While making cookies with Lynn, i missed my Mom. We would always make cookies and chocolates together. On Black Friday, we would always get up a 2-3 am and get in line at whatever store for the best deals. We were a tag team. Maybe one day we will be able to do some of the holiday stuff together again but not likely…
As mentioned before, over the holidays, Brian took a new job. He is going to do what he loves and that is being a support manager. Now we need to find a place to live in Michigan! It feels like to me that Brian is bringing me home…
